Here at Moot Lodge we provide quality residential accommodation. The home is centrally located in the small town of Brampton in Market Square. Local amenities include GP practice, choice of two Dentists, Opticians, Pharmacy, Post Office and various grocery shops all just a few steps away. The building is over four floors enabling residents to observe day to day life in the Market Square and surrounding area. The home is well supported by the local Community Hospital and District Nurses/GPs. Relatives and friends of the home also play a large part in maintaining and contributing to the smooth running of the facility.
Various board games, quizzes, film nights, chair exercises, reminiscing therapy, singers, professional entertainers, one to one outings for coffee and shopping, pets (dog) visits and pony petting.
Local schools and groups also visit for arts and crafts sessions.
The team in Moot Lodge are always held in the highest regard. They are motivated, compassionate, caring and helpful. They provide round the clock care and support for residents and loved ones. The staff always contribute in creating a nice atmosphere as remarked upon by relatives and visitors.
The February 2017 CQC inspection also captured the views of residents and families:
"I have felt safe here since the day I moved in. It is better than being by yourself especially at night".
"I have always felt safe and have no worries about that at all".
"I am really well cared for and the girls are so polite and patient".
All diets are catered for offering at least the choice of two different menus for each meal. Everything is cooked in house insuring a healthy option is available. Training and professional advice is sourced when needed. Fresh fruit is always available, as are snacks and drinks.
