Shared Lives provides an alternative to supported living or residential care. The support helps adults to live independently in their community. It is a bit like fostering for adults.

Shared Lives carers offer care and support in their own home. The person you support would be included in your family and home life while they are with you. You can provide respite or long-term support, depending on your needs and the person you are supporting. Talk to the team about what suits you.

People are matched based on shared interests, lifestyles, and sense of humour. Shared Lives carers come from all walks of life, some have caring experience but no care experience is required.

You will provide person centred support and see a real difference in the person you are supporting. In return you will receive a paid allowance and the support of our friendly and helpful team. There is also training and a great support network.
