Event: The Doko Challenge North

This unique event sees participants running in the footsteps of the Bravest of the Brave. Based on a pivotal part of the Gurkha selection process, we challenge you to take on an undulating 5km cross-country course through the grounds of Greystoke Castle with a weighted Nepali Doko basket strapped to your back.
Choose to carry 5kg, 10kg or 15kg in your Doko, and run, jog, or walk the route. Those looking to push themselves can aim to beat the Gurkha recruitment time of 46 minutes!
Included in your registration:
Doko basket for the race, with chosen weight
Chip timers & online results
A signposted, 5km cross-country course, with volunteers marshalling
Goodie bag, complete with finishers medal and T-shirt
Finish line photos
We suggest participants set a fundraising target of £150. Alongside challenging yourself, you can take great pride in raising money to support our team in Nepal, keeping our Gurkha veterans and widows safe.
