Observing from life is the perfect discipline to improve your drawing skills. Portrait Drawing will provide an opportunity for people of all abilities to develop their drawing skills through the discipline of portraiture. You will be encouraged to try new techniques and have an experimental approach to some different drawing media.
What will the course cover and how will it be taught?
Working directly from a portrait model you will be guided through a series of mark-making and measuring exercises exploring different drawing techniques, using a variety of mediums.
Through a series of observational drawing tasks, you will learn to:
Demonstrate effective use of measuring techniques within portraiture.
Observe and draw more accurately through the discipline of portraiture and study of -the human form.
