Description
Join us for a challenge walk with a difference! Taking part is a great way to enjoy the stunning beauty and unique surroundings of Morecambe Bay whilst raising money for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Crossing the sands with an experienced and knowledgeable guide is the only way to traverse the ever-changing flats and channels, and this amazing experience is a must for visitors to the area. Usually starting from Arnside and ending at Kents Bank, this guided walk crosses the sands through the channels of the Kent River. The walk is between 6 and 8 miles, depending on the tides, and is suitable for any children (over age 8 recommended) and adults who are comfortable walking for 3 to 4 hours. Dogs are welcome but must remain on leads to ensure safety.
Over 11 million people in the UK have significant hearing loss. Hearing Dogs for Deaf People exists to support all of them, providing practical guidance, emotional support and communication resources as well as life-changing assistance dog
