  • Maverick adidas TERREX X-Series Lake District
    Come join us at our trail running event in Grasmere. There are 4 routes to choose from; Ultra (52km), Long (45km), Middle (24km) and Short (13km). Taking in the sights of Stickle tarn, which is set in a wide bowl and overlooked by Pavey Ark and Harrison Stickle, you'll then head down towards an impressive 40ft waterfall fed by Dungeon Ghyll, this deep ravine was talked about by Wordsworth. Continuing on your epic trail run you head back down the Cumbria way towards Greater Langdale where you follow the river and make your way towards Loughrigg Tarn. These trails are so incredibly stunning you will loose yourself in the ancient woodlands. In true Maverick fashion the adventure isn't over there is one final sting in the tail with a mighty climb to the top of Rydal Head, and the Fairfield Horseshoe. Soak up the incredible views from this famous summit, from here it's a technical descent back to the venue in Grasmere where Friends, family and an ice cold beer wait for you.

Originally from Oxfordshire, Simon Parker is an award-winning travel writer and broadcaster who has reported from well over 100 countries by the age of 34 for the BBC, The Telegraph and Amazon Prime. The talks coincide with the launch of Parker's new book in Riding Out, which he will be selling at the event. This is a fascinating story that you won't want to miss!

Learn how to write and record your own songs, produce and make beats, using digital software in a creative space. We'll play around with effects like reverb, beat making and building our own synth sounds, to make a track as our own music group.     This popular annual event, provides the opportunity to see an extensive and varied range of work from artists both contemporary and traditional. And all of our artists are looking forward to talking about their work and how they create it! Trail venues can be found across South Cumbria from Kendal, down to Milnthorpe and then across to Lindale and Newby Bridge. Group venues are the Athenaeum at Leasgill near Milnthorpe and Space2Create in Kendal. We have simplified and streamlined it so dedicated Trail enthusiasts should be able to get round all the venues. The Trail is a showcase for members' work across a wide range of disciplines including textiles, painting, printmaking, ceramics, stonewear, pastels and mixed media. It's the highlight of our year and an occasion to browse and buy a beautiful piece of unique art that is locally created. Her direct and honest lyricism capture themes such as falling in and out of love, self-reflection and the anxieties of modern life. Her captivating live set has been refined over years of performing and since playing her first solo gigs as a teenager, she has gone onto support the likes of dodie, Tessa Violet, Maisie Peters and Will Varley.
