  • Keswick 2 Kendal Sponsored walk ( K2K) red walk
    We are holding a sponsored relay walk between Keswick and Kendal in aid of unpaid carers in South Lakes. The walk will follow the route of A591 divided into 7 stages,using pathways, woodlands and road The maximum number walking at any stage will be 10 as it is in the form of a relay event.

    Rozi Plain is a phenomenal contemporary folk rock musician and member of This Is the Kit. She has toured with the likes of Devendra Banhart and KT Tunstall and is renowned as a relentless and magnetic touring musician. At the core of Rozi's idiosyncratic sound, there is a keening for simplicity; a recurring urge to strip things back to their essence, to reveal their innate beauty. This April Rozi Plain will have her first taste of arena shows after being invited to support Paramore on their UK & Ireland tour before diving into her solo tour that arrives at Brewery Arts.

  • Spiers and Boden
    Described by The Guardian as 'the finest instrumental duo on the traditional scene', Spiers and Boden first rocketed onto the music scene in 2001, quickly winning a clutch of BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and going on to form and front the extraordinarily successful folk big band Bellowhead. After a 7-year hiatus, the duo reformed in 2021, arriving with a brand new album 'Fallow Ground', which reached Number 3 on the Official Folk Albums Chart and was a Mojo Top 10 Folk Album of 2021. Following their legendary big band Bellowhead's tour last year, the much-loved duo have selected Brewery Arts as one of their tour venues for 2023.

    Many people experience stress and anxiety on a daily basis. It can cause problems for the person as well as their family, friends and work colleagues. During this Special Event Kadam Bridget Heyes, who is the NKT Spiritual Director and Resident Teacher at Nagarjuna Centre, will explain practical and simple methods for letting go of anxiety. She will guide us in meditations, allowing us to experience for ourselves how meditation works to rid the mind of unwanted thoughts and emotions, leaving us feeling relaxed and peaceful.
