    Barra Culture presents #AFurnessYule, recognising the town's Viking origins and providing an alternative to traditional festive celebrations. #AFurnessYule, sponsored by BAE Systems, takes place in Barrow's town centre on Saturdays, November 27 and December 4 culminating in an extravaganza of fire and fun at the Dock Museum on Sunday, December 5. It's the chance to celebrate all things Viking, with crafts, runes, workshops, music and theatrical spectacles. Activities include creating a Yule goat, creative craft stalls including textile activities and pottery workshops, storytelling and Scandanavian songs. Events on November 27 take place mainly near The Forum.

The route is flat, with places to sit and rest if required, so the walk is suitable for all ages and abilities.
