  • Support Ukraine Afternoon
    Come and help Ukraine at our special event. Saturday 30th April 1.30pm to 3.30pm at Barrow Library. All proceeds go to the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal (disaster emergency committee) All ages welcome. Cake stall, raffle, tombola, guess the name of the teddy, sponsored read.

  • CODA - Film Screening
    (12A) | 112 minutes | 30th April 17:00 As a CODA (child of deaf adults), Ruby is the only hearing person in her home. When she discovers a passion for singing, Ruby must choose between family obligations and her dreams. Seventeen-year-old Ruby (Emilia Jones) is the sole hearing member of a deaf family a CODA, child of deaf adults. Her life revolves around acting as interpreter for her parents (Marlee Matlin, Troy Kotsur) and working on the family struggling fishing boat every day before school with her father and older brother (Daniel Durant). But when Ruby joins her high schools choir club, she discovers a gift for singing and soon finds herself drawn to her duet partner Miles (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo). Winner of 3 Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor.

    Inside Out Part of Thriving Communities. 6 once weekly sessions to encourage participants who may be isolated to give them the confidence to get out and meet new people whilst learning new skills.
