  • Fashion Futures: Fashion Activists
    Thu 27 Oct | 11.15am-3pm | £10 | 15-19 yrs | Tutor Sarah May What does fashion mean to you? How does what we wear impact on our environment? In this workshop find out what sustainable fashion really means and consider alternative ideas to our dominant fashion system. Make your own garment from re/upcycled resources that says something about you. Experiment with different materials to make a fashion cape that is unique to you and your ideas about fashion of the future. Who is it suitable for? Anyone can take part; you don't need to be able to sew! If you're interested in fashion, the environment and making your voice heard then this is for you!

  • Young Music Producers
    Tue 20 Sep to Tue 6 Dec | 4.30-6pm | £50 (10 wks) | 11-14 yrs | Tutor Tiiva Learn how to write and record your own songs and music using Ableton. Working with a professional music producer will be a fun and creative way to write together. The group will use a digital lab to make their own piece of music and explore the creativity of producing music along the way. What will the session cover and how will it be taught? Learn how to write and record your own songs, produce and make beats, using digital software in a creative space. We'll play around with effects like reverb, beat making and building our own synth sounds, to make a track as our own music group. Learn how to write and produce with your voices, and instruments in an open safe space, sharing ideas and expressing yourself through music making. We'll be writing, improvising and producing using Ableton and GarageBand.

  • Inspired By Nature: Digital Photography For Beginners
    Mon 3 Oct to Mon 31 Oct | 10am - 12pm | £75 (4 wks) | 16+ yrs | Tutor Eric Pye | Footprint Nature has provided many photographers with their inspiration and here is your chance to do the same. Enjoy the beautiful woodland environment while you learn through a mix of theory, demonstrations and assignments that will help you to master the controls of your camera. By the end of the course, you will have received and practised the basics of digital photography. You will learn the controls of your camera, the basics of metering and exposure control together with techniques to aid composition. You will also have an enhanced idea about what to look for and how to turn what you see into meaningful photographs. Suitable for beginner and early intermediate photographers. You will need a digital camera, its instruction manual, a memory card, clothes suitable for outside and some means of making notes.
