Kendal May Fest 2024
Kendal May Fest celebrates the beginning of summer with a procession through the town, led by singers, musicians, actors, mime artists and other followers. There will be music, short plays, and representations of Green people, Robin Hood, Dickie Doodle and others. The parade will travel from Kendal Parish Church, in Kirkland, to the Market Place in the centre of town. Everyone is invited to participate, either by joining in on the day, or by attending the four rehearsals (which start on Sunday 27 April in the Kendal Parish Hall). Free ivy wreaths and green face paint will be given to everyone who turns up.
