  • Engineering Fairytales @ Barrow Library
    Tuesday 12th April @ Barrow 10-12pm Barrow Libraries invites families to take part in a free practical STEM session to engage children in reading and practical problem solving. Families will listen to a story reading and take part in a problem solving and creativity activity. Parents will gain easy ideas for linking literacy to STEM at home. BAE Systems STEM Ambassadors will lead session with all equipment provided to help your family explore the exciting world of STEM and literacy. Although there is no age limit for the activity we suggest that children aged 6-10 would enjoy the activity with the support of their parent or guardian. Places are free but must be booked. Call Barrow on 01229 407370 to book a free place.

  • Thriving Communities
    Inside Out Part of Thriving Communities. 6 once weekly sessions to encourage participants who may be isolated to give them the confidence to get out and meet new people whilst learning new skills. Each session is themed from Nature and wildlife, food and nutrition, crafts and creativity, social and creative collections, movement and dance to name but a few. Hosted by Currock Community Centre, sign up via Tullie House website link provided. Each session will run from 1.30 - 3.30 pm every Thursday starting on 31st March
