If you live in Cumberland and your child is currently in Year 2 at an infant school, they will be due to transfer to a junior or primary school in September 2024.  You must apply to Cumberland Council for a primary or junior school place.

Copies are also available in all infant and primary schools and public libraries in Cumberland.  Page 9 of the booklet explains what happens to applications that are received after the closing date of 15 January 2024.

The closing date for applications is 15 January 2023. 

If you live outside the Cumberland area, you need to apply through your own Local Authority, even if you want to apply for a place in a Cumberland school.  You must confirm that you have read the booklet and provided accurate information before submitting your application.
