Core Training Programme
The Early Years Team are dedicated to providing a holistic training programme that helps to equip Cumberland's early years workforce with the skills and knowledge that you need in order to deliver your high quality provision.
We produce an annual core programme of training opportunities and networks and a copy of this can be found on this page.
The core programme may be further added to throughout the year in response to feedback or by local or national policy changes, so please do keep checking back here and in the weekly Early Years Update for the latest information.
Many available courses for both the PVI and school sector, including SENCO clusters and Effective Communication Networks, can be booked on Cumberland Education Services
Networking opportunities for further Professional Development
In addition to the training courses available on Cumbria Education Service, the Early Years Team also facilitate the following networks to help ensure that Managers, Safeguarding Leads and Childminders are kept up to date with relevant aspects of early years practice:

Bespoke training
The Early Years Team provide bespoke training both to small groups/clusters of settings, or to an individual setting where appropriate and where capacity allows.
Bespoke training will always be in response to identified need which may be the result of an Ofsted inspection or following a school review, an Area Team request, the Annual Setting Review (PVIs) or in response to other local needs.
We can also offer Baby Training to settings where there is a specific need or new baby provision - please contact your Link Adviser if applicable.
